New system lol.... don't get sucked in to buying a 1kw Chirp transducer for huge $$$ that performs the same as the SS164W 1kw wide transducers.
Unfortunately the 1kw wide are no longer available and if your fishing is only bays then the P66 transom or B60 thru hull are punching well above there weight in
the market but if you want high performance then unfortunately you will be prone to paying big $$ with the new chirp models which are overrated IMO on a Furuno unit.
Regards Frank

I believe the new system is the furuno CA-50/200 1T which is a thru hull but mounted wet face.
I was told the cone size was adjustable but am not finding that to be correct. I have a p66 at the moment and am fitting that up as a temporary measure but am looking for something suitable for tuna and marlin fishung out wide of portland eden and bermi

I'm running a 1kw with my 585 and I 99% fish the bay's worth the extra $$$ u say u bet when u see the clarity of my screen and the sounding it will impress ask John (bourbondrinker) he's seen it in action but mines s rear mount something with drilling a hole in my boat still doesn't feel right lol I've looked into the chirp for the furuno but wouldn't waste my $$$ atm way to over priced I think
