Spearo have a look at the cable that plugs into your head unit. It should have a tag with a code on it. You'll find the same code in the installation menu. If you have the wrong transducer selected it won't work properly. When I bought my boat it had the generic selected and although it picked up bottom nothing else on the screen was accurate.
I lost about 50 sounder picks a few weeks ago hopefully get a few more this weekend.
Will be interesting to see how the garmen marks next to the fur frank. Should lob a lowrance and a raymarine on there as well so you don't miss anything!

Funny u say that my mate runs that setup lol but reason for garmin was to upgrade my GPS unit which was nearly 15yrs old and was the size of my phone lol and so I decided to get the biggest unit I can fit also wanted chirp with down scan and a GPS unit also will be getting side scan in due time I've only had maybe 40min with this unit on water and was blown away with it

Fair enough, pretty smick looking unit. The only thing them furs are lacking is some good advertising and an in built toaster. They're big enough that's for sure!
