I have a 550 Plat and am either going to trade up for a second hand 600 or re power. My 2008 has of all things a 115 Johnson 2 stroke bolted onto it and I get ( flat out) around the 60k mark. Was hoping for a faster upgrade at the 150hp mark but maybe not. Your thoughts Streaker

JR what revs do you get at WOT and what prop size/pitch do you have now ?
I'm interested comparing this, because I've got the 552 hull with a 150 four stroke.
I'm guessing the 2 banger would rev harder but have a smaller prop.

Ive spoken to ppl with these boats with 150 hondas they go great on them and awesome on fuel too
150 suzuki compared to 140 ive heard it only gives about 4 kms faster but the torque and hole shot performance is hell of alot better

Any thoughts on the G2 and agree with the Honda , on my list if repowering but might be a bit heavy for the 550 as rated to 193kg from memory

EVO, posted a message but it doesn't look like it has gone through. Don't know about the prop mate but it runs out to around 6300 rpm although not a huge diff in speed from 5500 onwards. Sucks about 1 ltr per k WOT . Was hoping a big hp would give me more speed, hence checking out 2nd hand 600's on boat sale. The little 115 struggles out of the hole, noisy and smokey. BTW recon I read a FB post, have you the centre console?

JR - No problems, yes I've got the centre console, it was supplied with a Merc four stroke that weighs 211kg - the spec says that anyway.
My plotter tells me too speed is 35 knots/65klm.
But I reckon it feels more like 80, but maybe I'm dreaming.
Personally I'm not fussed really about too speed. But I'm very happy with the 150. The prop supplied is the enertia 15 x 15. I haven't looked at what other options there are for that. But I'm very happy with the holeshot and performance overall.
A 600 is the next step up, I'd love to do that. But I don't have the room. So maybe you should ;-)
