Thanks Jake,

I do like the seafarer and will take a closer look.

Cheers,

Sig 540 ride is miles better than a seafarer viking, the viking is a barge at rest but a back breaker underway.

I'm just gunna have to wait for a decent rig to come up that ticks all the boxes, when you are buying second hand can't really settle on just one hull / motor combination.

I like the Signature 575RF & 600RF (the 575F wouldn't go in my garage - have only 2240mm clearance)

I also like the HH 585R Breeze but may be a bit heavy and maybe over the budget.

See what comes up in the next few months.

I've just gone from a 540F to a 585 SF with 150 honda. Did you have tab's on the sig? You'll be lucky to find a better handling boat than the 540 without going Cootacraft or Edencraft type builds.
Jarra Jack, will trim tabs make that much difference?

After all the research recently, and weighing up pros and cons and budget, I'm considering another 540F / 542F of 575RF.

was interested to get your feedback in terms of trim tabs providing a much better ride on a rig such as a 540F.

Cheers,

Gents,

Any positive or negative feedback for the Streaker 5700 Commander would be much appreciated.

They seem like a really well priced package (they come with just about everything)

Cheers,

They look like a sweet boat pretty beamy and well powerd... I think something like that would be perfect for your needs mate

I'm by no means a expert but doesn't a beemy boat sometimes translate to a boat that bangs in the chop? Happy to be corrected if this is not correct

Sometimes it depends on the deadrise. Boats are always about compensation good ride in chop and stability On anchor.

Yes it also have other negative effect such as attitude of the boat underway.

Could be a great boat (I haven't been in one) and the water line beam might not be too far from the norm.
