Removal of Bins

Postby mrfisho Wed Aug 16, 2017 7:00 am

REMOVAL OF BINS FROM PATTERSON RIVER. When contacted Parks Victoria have confirmed that bins will be removed from Patterson River from September, as part of its 'carry in, carry out' strategy that is being employed. Parks Vic will be carefully monitoring the decision, and if there is inappropriate dumping, will rectify the issue, however hope that users will responsibly dispose of their rubbish. This strategy is also being carried out at the National Water Sports Centre and other parks.

Typical idiotic bureaucratic money based decision no doubt.
Like an ostrich with its head in the sand.
In my best Rodney Rude voice - if I take the bins away there will be no more rubbish eh eh eh eh ehhhhh.

Yes I too would like to believe that people would respect any area they visit and clean up after themselves.
But I don't think it's unreasonable that bins be placed in all public spaces.
Guaranteed there will be crap everywhere now the bins are gone.
What a great job looking after the environment Parks Victoria.

Saltwater fishing, boat mad but has a job that gets in the way.
