Re: Securing game fishing tackle

The biggest risk of losing a rod is between taking it out of the holder and getting the harness on when fighting. Leaving a lanyard on until the reel is clipped into the harness removed any chance of losing a rod/reel and possibly a fish of a lifetime

Re: Portland this weekend

Most recent reports are they're hard work in the morning even when jumping and eating bait on the surface but they're getting a few about 3pm onwards.

Re: Eden King Fish Classic 2015

Malki chances are I'll go fishing locally the weekend of the comp, the seafarer will break down and I'll drift to Eden, catching the winning fish as a nice south easterly blows me into twofold bay. I better pay my entry fee...

Re: Eden King Fish Classic 2015

Mick you need to move this one or two weeks back mate lol. I won't be able to go this year, taking the tub (and family) up to coffs 3 weeks after the comp fland can't take that amount of time off. So this means someone needs to put their hands up to take over a very important role I normally fill, g...

Re: fts

Funny you say that, Excluding mates day I've had maybe 2 or 3 sessions on the reds since the start of October and every time we've got our bag, not that I dislike eating snapper, I take care of my catch properly as soon as it hits the deck and even if frozen for a couple of months it goes well on th...

Re: election promise

If the guys who net for whiting, flathead and calamari inside ppb can no longer do that what do you all think they'll do? Chase whiting and flathead outside?? Not likely at all. They'll most likely start long lining for snapper inside the bay, the fish are there to be caught, there's room in the quo...

Re: election promise

Fisherking8 talk to the pro's, It's not exactly easy to net outside the bay for whiting, flathead, calamari, from what I've been told by those actually in the know it simply won't happen. The fish don't school up when outside the heads, the whiting don't spawn inside the bay either, they do their jo...

Re: election promise

Mick it's a noisy couple of hundred from corio bay getting the job done on their behalf, I'd hazard a guess that out of the '750,000' rec fishers about 700,000 first heard of the push to ban netting when napthine went public with his vote grabbing claims. Rex Hypocrisy Hunt can keep his words becaus...
