P.s went to Merimbula pier last year and caught a few little fish. Kids LOVED it, so anything similar wo...

Re: Prawning

Yeah heavy rain, the Gippy Lakes is more affected because it has more large rivers flowing into it with run off from farms that use chemicals which causes algae. Tyers generally cleaner the the lakes.

Re: Prawning

Lake Tyers is a good one for prawning. You can get em any moon phase, full moon they tend to be down low and new moon they tend to be up but either way you'll catch em.This algae has taken longer than usual to clear up this time round so best to not eat anything from the lakes.

Re: What is classed as a motor?

Re: What is classed as a motor?

Ok, just to stir things up even more. Is it ok to put lights on a row boat for night fishing? I know that may sound like a dumb idea but where I'm thinking of fishing is amongst the moored boats at Blairgowrie! Many times when I've gone on the Blairgowrie pier with no spots to fish I have always tho...

What is classed as a motor?

Just sussing out getting a small row boat for fishing close to shore, and not contend with the madness of summer ramps.

If I was to put an electric motor on it is that classed as a motor boat which you need a licence for?

I know with my biceps I can row quicker but just aasking.
